The Origin
How It Started
Mascot Nexgen didn’t come from a business plan. It came from a gap that anyone who’s worked in Indian electronics manufacturing knows intimately — the gap between what you need, when you need it, and what the supply chain actually delivers.
We started small. A lean team in Mumbai, sourcing electronic components from global markets, getting them into the hands of Indian manufacturers who needed them to keep their lines running. No fancy office. No large catalogue. Just a deep understanding of what our clients were building and a commitment to not letting them down.
The early days were humbling. We were a small operation competing in a space dominated by large distributors with established networks. We didn’t have their scale. But we had something they didn’t — we picked up every call, we understood every BOM, and we treated every client’s deadline like it was our own.
That turned out to matter more than scale.

Early in our journey, we were supporting component supply for a Tier 1 OEM — the kind of client most small sourcing operations would be terrified to take on. Large volumes, tight schedules, zero tolerance for delay.
We were importing from China. Managing payment terms. Coordinating logistics across time zones. Doing it with a team you could count on one hand.
And we delivered. Consistently. With near-zero delays, across multiple supply cycles, for a client whose production line couldn’t afford to stop.
That project didn’t just build our confidence — it told us exactly what kind of company Mascot Nexgen was going to be. Not the biggest. Not the loudest. But the one that shows up, figures it out, and gets it done.

Mascot Nexgen is a team of 3 to 5 people, based in Mumbai. We have engineers who have worked in electronics long enough to know what questions to ask before a project starts. We have sourcing specialists who know where to find a component when the standard channels say it’s unavailable. And we have founders who are still deeply involved in every project — not managing from a distance, but actually in the work.
We are deliberately small. Not because we can’t grow — but because small means every client gets someone who actually knows their project. Small means accountability isn’t a department. Small means when you call, the person who picks up is the person who can solve your problem.
